untitled

By: Miss. Alexis Ellen

My ship floats along, exploring
and trying to find where it belongs.
No one aboard but me,
all I find is the crashing waves of the sea.

Scribbling, I write,
waving him on 'till totally out of sight,
We look across the ocean in a stare
his ship floats on
and the wind sends a chill to the air

Two on his ship
she captured his lips
took my heart and sent my boat adrift
Our boats crash,
I try to grab him
But all I hear is her laugh.

With luck he'd jump in
But, alas, he cannot swim.
My body flung into the churning sea,
I'm churning and churning
maybe we were never meant to be.
