Tiffany

By: Brian Earl Cox

Would you think me less a man, if tears stream down my face?
If I opened up my heart, and let you see the place,
where once was nothing, now is you, a little piece of me,
that smile that is just like mine, our eyes together see.

Your little hands shaped just like mine, that lttle chubby grin,
those little things that make me smile, your giggles on the wind,
I can't be there but my soul is always by your side,
every time I took you home I laid my head and cried.

The world can't see the pain I feel, I seldom crack a smile,
but when your here, it opens wide, if only for a while.
I only hope you know how much I miss you everyday,
I love you baby Tiffany, more than these words can say.

When you are grown, and I am old, I'll still be by your side,
I'll crack my smile that looks like yours, my arms held open wide.
I'm proud that your my daughter, and I hope your proud of me,
you'll always be my precious, little baby Tiffany.
