The River - Me

By: Chris Ten Joe

Here comes the "River Me"
Seeking permission to flow into the "You Sea"
his estuaries for long have been denied
And his life is in gradual decline
Soon to be like the dead sea
Dead from unacceptance.

Here again, he comes again
Hear him crying for redemption
Accept him, else he dies
Let him flow into you
And his tributaries shall enlarge you
And forever be a part of you.

Receive him just the way he is
For your differences
Can no more be told in your oneness
These are the pleadings of "River Me"
To the beloved "You Sea"
My Love, please accept my love
