Into The Fire

Hypnotized by the beauty,
It dances gracefully in the shadows.
Such a splendor of nature,
Bringing peace to the dark of night.

Inside the flickering shine,
There lies a vision of you.
It burns an image so brightly,
So honest, so true.

I stare into the glow a little longer,
Feel relief devour my soul.
While viewing something so beautiful,
My life- it seems whole.

The sun rises over the horizon,
Flames drowned out by the light of day.
Bitter loneliness strikes me again,
Intensified by each piercing ray.

I long for night to fall once again,
Wish to feel that beauty within.
Into the fire I see my dreams,
Melting the pain I'm living in.
