Dignity
How do I feel? It’s hard to say.
My emotions vary from day to day.
Like today, I long to breathe your kiss.
Tomorrow I know that I will not miss
You. It makes no sense, really.
I’m not in denial. I can see you clearly.
And what I see is a man who can’t love.
No, I mean, a man who can’t love
Me. And it hurts to know
That for me those feelings will never show
That the only man I’ve loved in forever
Does not love me, nor will he ever.
But I’ll survive, and eventually move on.
Please help me find love, please help me stay strong.
