I've been thinking lately and I've come to a conclusion.
If you don't mind, it'll only take a minute to tell you.
I'm sorry that things will end up this way.
Sometimes things just don't go our way.
We made plans, we had dreams, but what do they mean.
It seems like we were just a mistake waiting to happen.
I'll bet everyone's looking at us now,
clapping, laughing at how blind we were
to think this could actually work.
Sorry(sniff), I just get emotional
when I think of the long nights we spent on the phone
and how you made me feel at home.
Don't worry about the tears in my eyes.
They only fall when I think of being alone.
We both did things that weren't right,
but, hey,(sniff) we learned from them, right?
Sh-h-h don't say anything, please,
just let me finish this conclusion,
then i'm through with you.
I only have one more thing to say.
It was great while it lasted,
now it's time to get past it.
