Conceit
I wonder what goes through your mind
When you write with such contempt
What you think I'm going to find
From condescending words you have sent
I would much rather be your enemy
I strive to hate you with every breath
To show you a side you've never seen
Disgust you with things said and meant
I want to tear you down from your pedestal
Show the world what a chameleon you are
Let them witness the coward behind the man
Let them judge you from near and from far
So, next time you feel obliged to contact me
Don't do it for your self-centered ego
You might find, by being a man, for a change
That my friendship is worth more than you've gained
