cut so short.
The dreams it satisfied only
made it worse
when it went away.

The little bit of heaven
that brightened my days,
reminded me of how much I
I knew I was worth.
The little successes
I made for myself
left pleasant memories
of how much
I underestimate myself.

The little bit of heaven
I miss so much
gave me strength
to go on and find
that heaven again.

The little bit of heaven
that is a curse on my memory
will always be a place
I dream of going again;
for no one can replace
the heaven you gave to me
nor the heaven I have found
within myself
because of how you touched me.
