A LOST LOVE
Time flys when your having fun,
but my time stands still because I'm missing someone.
A lost love, a broken heart,
all my happiness torn apart.
I wish he could kiss me gentle, kiss me sweet,
I have fallen for him head over feet.
I think about time we spent and time we shared,
when we parted I was so unprepared.
As I hold this burden that's keeping me down,
I search for a love, but only heartache was found.
I find myself thinking sometimes- he is here,
But I know he's gone and that's what I fear.
I can't fall asleep knowing he's gone,
My nights are now very lonley and long.
I've cried so many nights, about our love that was lost.
I miss him so much, I've paid the cost.
So why isn't he here, holding my hand?
I should be asleep in his arms, like we'd always planned.
