When you said you'd always be there.

I'm sorry I fell so hard,
I'm sorry I let you in so much.
I'm sorry I grew almost dependent,
Simply for your touch.

I'm sorry I was so honest,
I'm sorry you had to lie,
I'm sorry you felt you had to say
You'd always be by my side.

I'm sorry I thought it was forever,
I'm sorry I believed so hard.
I'm sorry you broke my heart,
I shouldn't have let it go that far.

But most of all
I'm sorry I thought I believed in fate,
For now I have to turn and walk away
Forever closing, and locking, that gate.
