A Poem for Norm
Everytime I see you my heart smiles,
Then it appears on my face,
And I feel warm and happy.
I wait anxiously to hear how you are feeling,
Thinking now of the wonderful stories of your youth
You told me this morning,
Though I have not done all those types of things,
They are things close friends and loved ones have done,
Things I love and admire,
Things of nature,
Being one with the earth,
In the woods, in the streams,
Feeling peaceful, living life,
Yes, you are perfect for me to fly with,
Soaring high, high, high.
If I ever lose my grip,
If you ever start to fall,
I will dive down to save you,
And hold you tenderly as you close your eyes,
Lay your head on my shoulder,
And we'll spin back down to the earth nice and slowly,
Holding this feeling for as long as we can,
For you are so many wonderful things to me,
I want you to know, I want you to see,
Just how special you are and how happy you make me.
So let's run through the fields,
Chase each other through the trees,
Take long walks, good talks,
Sometimes even agree to disagree, but more often that not,
We will be close-filling the other with sunshine,
Wading sensually through the honey of our love.
