I Hated You

By: lee

I can remember, when I was
little. I would go next door,
and play with the lady. She was so
nice, then you arrived.

I could not touch you, I was
too little. Everyone was happy,
but me. No more cookies,
our games stopped. I hated you.

You always wanted to play with me.
I hated your games, you always wanted
to play house. I was a cowboy,
not a daddy. I hated tea and crumpets.

As we grew older, I was your
joke of the day. Always laughing
at me, making fun of me. I can
remember how much I hated you.

When I was a senior, you always
called me. Still making fun of me;
Telling me about your life, bothering
me with your problems. I hated you.

Returning home from college, at Thanksgiving,
because you asked, I came to see you.
I realize now I was a jerk...I hated you,
till the kiss we shared last night.
