I used to love someone
So smooth and suave
I would've given anything
To make sure he'd be okay
One day things got unruly
Too complicated to see
Too hazy to understand
Too weird to make any sense
I loved him fully
I loved him with my life
I loved the ground he walked on
I loved the simple things
One day it began to tumble
He wouldn't tell the entire story
So maybe I could believe him
He lied too many times
I had to crush our love
Put an end to what we had
Push it away
Never to be brought up again
I thought I could be the same
The same as I was before him
