Sometimes it is a very hard thing to do,
But is so much better than feeling blue.
One small step at a time you see,
Gives the courage to go on and be... Me.

Special Friends help, ohhhhh, so much,
Just by being there with a light touch.
They help in so many many ways,
With a smile or a bit of praise.

Memories are a precious thing.
But, not all that you should bring.
One needs to live their fullest life,
Not just exist, in all the strife.

So, as this New Year is begining,
I, too, want to start some winnings.
Not so much as in money, you see,
For to have love and happiness is the way to be.

I want to lay my old memories down,
And start new ones up from the ground.
New Beginings and the Special Times I see,
Will make this New Year all we want it to be!!
