All the lost tomorrows

By: Bill

The sun rises and slowly fades,
To a night of darkest black,
But the moment I feared the most,
Was when I knew you’d ne’er come back.

For you found the one who loves you,
You found a love so true,
But you shunned the heart that adored you,
For the heart you knew... you knew!

And though love abounds within me,
All I hold – are pains and sorrows,
For the memories I held of you…
And for all the lost tomorrows.

So, if we meet one day hereafter,
In a better world than this,
Remember my name with kindness,
And bless me with your kiss.
