The one thing that scared me the most was love,
I told you my heart had to be cared for like the whitest dove.
You told me you would always love me and nevr leave my side,
Yet I looked next to me and you weren't there...I had to hide.
I was so scared those times we got in serious fights,
All I wanted to hear was, "Candice don't worry," as you held me tight.
I wanted to feel wanted by only you, the one I adored,
You never understood how much love in my heart was stored,
I remeber that time you cried when I said I was going to leave,
That touched my heart like you wouldn't believe.
I remember that time we almost broke up on Valentine's Day,
We ended up okay until you had to say....
When you said those words, "Candice this isn't working out,"
I felt my heart drop and the only thing I could do was pout.
In the back of my head I thought we would get back together,
Because remember that promise that was supposed to be forever.
