I woke up this morning
One thought on my mind,
On my computer, a letter
I was hoping to find
Letters were there
but not one from you,
I miss you, my love
but what can I do?
with thousands of miles
to keep me away
I wish you to write
even to say:
I love you, my sweet
but this is the end
To me you're nothing
just simply a friend.
and with this letter
I'd be sad, but content
for I'd heard from my love,
a letter you'd sent
despite the harsh words,
I would love you still
for I love you now,
and I always will
so please take a minute
to sit down and write
to say what you may
and write what you might
