Who's Driving Anyways?

By: Carman Daugherty

Your kiss does not justify
the rain and wind. You made me cry.
Your touch is shallow and cold.
I cannot hear the words you told.

You breathe hatred upon my world.
I did not ask you to be here.
I am driving this car...
Why do you feel you should steer?

The sun will rise,
The sun will set
When you are gone.
So. . .
Why do you feel this compulsive bond?

Go on your way.
I am not a small toy
that will easily break.
I am strong in my will.
That... you will not steal.
