Trophy

By: Anonymous Web Poet

She will never leave her trophy,
She worked too hard!
The years of abuse
That left her scarred

are all the more reason,
To stay with a drunk...
To live with a skunk...
From season to season.

My wife will never
Let me go,
She loves me? No!

She thinks she does,
That's only because
I loved her once, when
I was her dunce;

Pinnochio.

A wooden boy on
Her string.
Seduced by the
"Older Woman Thing."

Now, although she treats me like a wretch
she knows I am a marvelous catch,
who one day will bring home a lot of bread,
so she will cling to me until I am dead.

But I have the strength
To go the length,
to run that distance alone.

But I cannot leave for some
Woman I adore, who claims
she wished she could know me.
She is much too attached to her...

Trophy.
