tether
And I have come so far,
the tangles and the windscars...
And yet,
I shall be a vine, strong-woven, sure,
for you to swing upon, pure delight,
soaring joys, in the glinting, sunlit forest canopy;
or a weaving to hold you as you dangle
amid the grace-leaves adown the green chambers of afternoon, wistful;
or a cocoon, to wind yourself up in,
nestling, to nap..., 'til evening falls blue....
And dreams in the night...,
I shall fly you through infinite webs of
all creation on satin wings, ecstatic
explorations down the labyrinth of green,
its tender ministrations the
webwork of our dreams,
and the longings....
for I seek nothing more than to be your
tether, forever....
