Lost and Found

By: Norman Dean VanPelt

Want you to know,
the love I have found.
Searched so long,
didn't think it was around.

Come to find it,
off in the distance.
Dreams of love and joy,
found in an instance.

When I found you,
I'd been lost.
Dreams had left me,
love has it's cost.

Each day I've paid,
the ferry mans toll.
Crossed the river styx,
Now you've made me whole.

Dream of the day,
when you say it's o.k..
To come and see,
what this love can be.

I know that it's hard,
Cross the fence, to this yard.
The grass is green, you'll see,
this dream is meant to be.

"Signs everywhere,"
to show you how I care.
Friends before lovers,
no tension that smoothers.

Want you to breathe,
this life I believe.
This clean fresh air,
of someone who cares.

When you decide,
my love will abide.
I'll be here you'll see,
to be the dream that's meant to be.

I love you
