Tender Folds of Love

By: Marion Rose Phillips

Love, fiercely bound by broken wings
Held strong by a heart that sings
Whispers flowing, over rich velvet red
Almost ignored by the past that has bled
Dotted with thorns that prick the heart of the mind
Coldly tortured elegantly with a love of all kinds
Crisp tears of bitterness falling on smiles
The winds that carry happiness on for miles
Brazen words and happy thoughts on loft
All on the tender folds of love
