Did You Feel It?
Did you listen to the song I sang?
Did the words enter your soul?
They came from deep within my heart
And I just wanted you to know...
How much you really mean to me,
Though this my actions may not express.
The song tells the whole story,
The words were a caress.
Did you read the poem I wrote?
Did the words enter your heart?
Did you feel the love surround you?
Do you know we’ll never part?
The meaning deep within the poem
Was only meant for you.
Just remember, after all these years,
Again I’d say, “I Do.”
Did you look upon the easel;
See what the painting has to say?
Peaceful are the surroundings,
A light to guide your way.
Each brush stroke is done with patience
And each color done with love.
When I paint it means I’m happy;
Each day I thank the Lord above.
Just listen to the music.
Just listen to the poem.
Look upon the painting.
You’ve made this a happy home.
