Another Day

If I could hold the night away
and draw the day to stay forever,

if only to see your smile radiate
and keep the light within your eyes,

I'd never sleep for keeping watch
against the fall of evening's shadow,

but hold the moon at bay
and quell the swell of stars,

if only to delay...
the passing of another day.
