Here is my plea to you...
I want you to go away,
Never pass my way again,

Don't acknowledge that I exist,
Turn your head and vanish,
If you have the urge to speak- resist!
Make me just a memory,
And forget all that we had.
If you have to remember anything,
Try to make it everything bad.
I don't want you to miss me,
And if you do, do not say so.
If we end up in the same place, someday,
Have the courtesy to go.
Please, don't dream about my face,
And forget I have a name.
If you ever think I might be special,
Pretend the whole world is the same.
Don't ever fall in love again,
If you aren't sure it's meant to be,
Because if you up and leave them,
They'll end up just like me.
Me, the broken heart,
Telling you to put me on the shelf.
