LONG DISTANCE LOVER

By: Rory Brown

The mighty chest
of the mountainous countryside
paralyzes my hungry hands
from touching your satisfying face.
Flamboyance of a faceless ocean
hurls insults
at my unquenchable ears.
Eyes cry dry for replenishment
of your unearthly beauty.
Where is the
revolutionary technology
that's supposed to
join our hands together?

It is memory
that replays before my eyes
that plants his smirk
upon my heart?
The untainted love from you
is what bridges the admiration
you receive from me.
You may not be here physically
but we still laugh and play together
night after night in our dreams.
