Marriage

By: Richard Bernard Phillips

Give and take, Is marriage today
such a big mistake? I take, You
take, and when we look down, there
is no cake. And all that is left is a belly-ache.
And our stomach quakes!
Now we realize what a
tragic mistake, we make, in the
wake of our happiness, built on
Take. Oh well, I'll fake, and every
day I'll wake and smile brightly,
yet slightly, as I look down upon my
mistake. God! I should have never
eaten that wedding cake!
