Will You Be My Love?
Once upon a time
There was a boy
He is very lonely
And he will always be alone
He is just an ordinary-looking boy
And he’s not smart either
But he is very loving
And he always loves with all his heart
He’s been looking for all his life
Looking for love he never finds
He had been rejected, betrayed, deceived and disappointed many times
But he never gave up because hope still remains in his heart
One day he moved to a new place
Where he went to a new school
He met some new friends
And was greeted by a new environment
He thought he could forget about his past
All the anguish and misery from his previous love
But the past wouldn’t let him go that easily...
And he spent months struggling before he eventually triumphed
Then there is a girl at his new school
He doesn’t even know her name
But he knows that he should never fall again
Alas, he did fall in love with her
Every morning, he would look at her from a distance
And she doesn’t know about it...
He was in a dilemma for many nights
But he eventually decided to love again
He wanted to get to know her but he can’t
Because he’s a coward
And he’s also very shy
Then he suddenly finds a way
A friend decided to help him
And he was supposed to introduce himself to her at a designated moment
He can’t sleep for many nights;
Waiting for the “day” to come
He ran away at the beginning
Because he was scared...
But he regained his courage
And went to look for her at the library
It was an unforgettable Tuesday for him
His heart was pounding really fast
His legs felt wobbly like a jelly
And his lips were utterly dry and paralyzed
He looked around and he saw her
She was sitting alone; studying for a biology test
But he lost his courage again at the last moment
His friends gathered around and encouraged him to go
Just one minute before the bell rang...
He mustered all the courage he had left
And took a step forward to her
He introduced himself albeit rather awkwardly and they become friends
Days passed and months also begin to pass
He knew that he loves her more than anything in this world
And he knew that he really needs her in his life
But he is worried about what she thinks of him
He never stops worrying and there were nights
When he thought he couldn’t go on anymore
So he cried and cried and cried...
No one knows about it ‘cause he keeps it all to himself...
She seems to be friendly to him but he’s worried; yes, he’s worried
He keeps thinking about her every second of his life
And he can’t stop thinking
‘Cause he loves her very much...
He is afraid that she would break his heart
So he tries not to reveal his feelings to her
But he know that it has to be done
And he decided to tell her...
He sat down and began to write
After several moments which seemed like forever
He finished the poem he was writing
And he planned to give it to her after Christmas holiday
And here I stand...
