My Generation
My generation
Is very different from yours.
More violence in the schools and homes,
More killers loose on the streets.
Being 15 is so hard,
So many emotional and physical changes.
Going from Middle School to High School,
Means lots of rearrangements.
Changes are hard to adjust to,
Hard to fit in with the crowd.
So join me in my world,
And take a look around.
Walk in my shoes for a day,
See and feel what I go through.
It's been so long since I've heard,
My parents say, "I'm proud of you!"
I want to be somebody,
I overcome obstacles day by day.
But you have lost your faith in me,
And helped me throw my life away.
