Bitter, I'm not

I'm not bitter-
I'm realistic.
I'm not angry-
I'm idealistic.
I'm not selfish or egotistic-
I'm just safe.

I'm not negative-
I'm just careful.
I'm not joking-
I'm resourceful.
And it's not that I'm not delightful-
I'm just safe.

I'm not stupid-
I just feel.
I'm not stubborn-
I know what's real.
I'm not mean, that's not my deal-
I'm just safe.

I'm not different-
I'm the same.
I'm not unknown-
I've got a name.
I'm not scared of being "tamed"-

But I'm lonely.
