Lies
You only make things worse,
Saying, "I Love You," really hurts.
Knowing you can't look me in the eyes,
Gives me an emptiness inside.
You say you understand,
That I made you a stronger man.
Yet you're not here to hold my hand,
You let go a long time ago.
The way we fit together,
Like two pieces of a puzzle.
The things you used to say,
To bring happiness to a dark day.
The look on your face
When you left me all alone
Told a story in itself,
Like so many others have.
The,"It's not you, it's me,"
Was far from being true.
I hate it when you lie,
But there's nothing I can do.
Who is she?
Is she pretty?
What makes her better than me?
Do you sense a little jealousy?
Don't think you made me mad,
I don't feel anything but sad.
It's like there's something missing,
You: The other half of me.
