WHY?
Why do people say,
"I'm here for you"
When all they do is take your heart away.
Why do people reply,
"I'm sorry"
When deep inside you know they're lying.
Why do people cry,
"I want you back"
When all the love inside of them has died.
Why do people sigh,
"You don't love me any more"
When they know you have cried many a night.
Why do people scream,
"You betrayed me"
When they betray themselves.
Why do people say these things?
Well, maybe because it is an unconscious effort
to cover up the harsh realities of LOVE.
