A Wish

A penny in a wishing well,
A wish upon a star,
blowing out the candles
hasn't worked for me... so far.

The wishes of you coming,
I feel will not come true,
and so I gave up, finally
of ever having you.

And feeling all this loneliness,
without you by my side
my heart is full of sadness
and things I just can't hide.
