I Wish

I wish you would hold me forever and never let go

I wish you would show the feelings I long for you to show

I wish you would look into my eyes and drift far, far away

But I guess that will have to be a wish for another day.

I wish you would understand what I was going through

And I wish you would realize how much I care for you.

I wish you would change your mind, and say you are meant for me

But to you I am only a friend, something I am not sure I can be.

When the world decides to be perfect we will be more than friends

But I will continue loving you, until then.
