A Daughter's Love
Mother, from the start it's been you and me.
You would hold me close, and look at me from above.
We were always together, bounded by love.
With everything that passed in and out our lives,
one thing was for sure, you always kept me safe and secure.
You give me confidence when no one else can.
You make me feel so loved when you patiently hold my hand.
I've learned so much from you through the years.
You were always there to wipe away my tears.
You taught me how to be strong, in your arms is where
you made me feel I belong.
When I was afraid, it was you who always stayed.
I wonder if there is anyone in the world I could love
as much as you, I don't think that could ever be true.
You have given me the greatest gift I could ever ask for,
my Life, your love, and so much more.
Mother, I'll love you more than I can ever show,
everyday we're together I'll try to let you know,
when you look at me with that gentle stare,
I know you will forever and always be there.
