Roller Coaster Love
by Megan Lynn Robertson

I'm afraid to give my heart again
afraid to lose
to love again
to kiss your lips
and to look into those eyes again
I can't help but worry that I'll get hurt again

I can only notice your presence again
feel your touch
your tenderness again
the glare of your eyes
and the strength of your arms again
I can't help but think I'll fall hard for you again

I can only hope to feel safe again
secure within myself-
alive again
share myself-
you and me again
I can't help but dream that there will be an 'us' again

I'm afraid to hear those words again
"I don't want this"
"I want to break it off again"
to say goodbye
and cry myself to sleep again
I can't help but worry that I'll be alone... again
