Trust is a big thing in a relationship you see,
I trusted you with my heart and you lied to me.
I thought what we shared was an amazing type of love,
I felt as though we were soulmates meant to rise above.
All the pain that I was going through,
The heartache and the tears,
I didn't think you would hurt me this bad,
I have known you for years.
You said you wanted to be a family,
To be together forever, what happened to that dream?
It seems to me that if fell apart at the seams.
I didn't have a care in the world with you beside me.
Don't tell me you forget how you felt, as well.
You said I was the one you wanted as your wife.
Don't try to sell me those bullish lines.
I fell for it not once, twice, but three times.
I should have read between the lines.
We have a beautiful little girl that soon will be turning two,
The sad part is she has never even met you.
She was made with love so great
and I see that when I look in her eyes,
But all I can do deep down is cry.
We should have never ended, we were destined to be,
We should have stayed a couple, you and me.
There are a lot of should haves, could haves,
and would haves in our life.
I truly loved holding you in my arms while we slept.
