Slowly

By: Lindsey Jeaneen DeMoss

Slowly but surly
I will end up dead
lying there
stiffly in my bed

I'm cold
I'm lonly
and as I say goodbye
I feel the tears
slip past my eyes

I don't want to go
and leave you here
I'm still the person
you used to know

So, here I am
cold and dead
and I have
lived my life
without you.
I miss you.
