Broken Glass

By: Corie Brianne Ingram

I miss your kiss
Your sweet embrace
Your hands in mine, intertwined
The way you looked at me
Who you were
Memories all I have
Only one- you saying "it's over you and I"- I wish gone
I want to kiss you now
Never have stopped
You hold me tight
Whisper "I want you"
Stare into my eyes
Just once
Now, you won't look at me at all
You see thru me
A glass wall, shattered
You won't console the pieces, bleed from their touch
You scorn them
Turn away pretending you too aren't broken
I try to mend you, but your edges so sharp I bleed
Blood you too should be bleeding
But deny
