You were always there for me
Through thick and think alike
And now you're gone, I don't know why
Please visit me tonight

The flowers were so pretty
I know you saw them, too
I'm sure they made you smile
I picked them just for you

I laid them near your head today
So the scent would fill your nose
And make you dream of times we shared
That's history, I suppose

I know that you're an angel now
Flying forever and carefree
And in the arms of God
Is where you'll always be

And though I'll never see you
Or hear your laugh again
Please know that in my heart
You'll forever be my friend
