Alone

By: Cassandra Marie Mercado

Alone I wait; alone I stay,
as my patience slowly fades away.
I dream all day; I dream all night,
hoping that I will see his sight.
Alone I cry; alone I die.
When will love help me revive;
Revive my tears by coming near,
revive my feelings of sympathy and fear?
Alone I hope; alone I wish
for him to send his loving kiss.
I long for comfort; I long for love;
I long for his tender, but strong hugs.
Alone I ask; alone I wonder,
when will my life become fonder.
A life so dull, a life so bare,
this life, it needs someone to care.
Alone I need; alone I crave,
A desire for love that can save.
A passionate kiss, a longful stare,
is what I envy from just one glare.
Alone I realize; alone I see
there is only one way to receive
The love I deeply crave,
by patience, pride, and being brave.
