Unrequited Love

By: Susan Rae Nott

How I wish your love were mine
You would be my only sunshine
I would certainly curl up and die
This is the truth, no word of a lie
If you were to ignore me now
I would kill myself, this I vow
I can’t smile if you’re not around
If you’re near my heart does pound
Don’t want love from anyone else
It’s awful lonely here by myself
Can’t you see the passion in me?
Please look once more I beg, I plead
I’d give my heart body and soul
To have you love me is my goal
I’m longing for your gentle touch
I love you my dear so very much
