Nature of the beast

By: Josh Owen Harkins

He chases me,
Stalking me like a beast,
Loading his bow as a million times before

Arrow is let fly,
My chest is struck,
Emotions crash over me,

I am drowning,
A helpless puppet,
No longer my own.

I now belong to you,
Existing in your smile,
And the electric touch of your hand.

Your voice melts my brain,
Your lips steal my soul,
I'm in a hazy world of dream.

The warmth of you ignites passion,
Two are now one,
One heart. Mind. Soul.

For eternity.
