The time to let go
i thought that the years would go on forever
i thought that the laughter would never fade
but, the years went by much too quickly
and soon we will be saying good-bye
as we walk across that stage, our lives will begin to change
we will look into the future and find our separate ways
there are so many things i have taken for granted
and soon they will all vanish
but i will never forget all the good things that i have found
the love, the friendship, the laughter and the tears
i will never forget all the smiling faces
that were there to break my fears
i promise never to forget, i hope you will promise that too
now it's up to us to keep ourselves strong
and let go of those hands that have held us for so long...
