Come Back!

By: Robert Louis Arehart

As I sit here and ponder - alone, my love,
I think thoughts of yesteryear;
of nights that I warmed to the thrill of your touch
and mem'ries exceedingly dear.

Where, my dear love - have these pleasantries gone?
Where, our sweet dreams and our love?
As I sit here and ponder - I so often wish
you'd embrace me and take me above.

I ask you dear love - will this ever be so?
My heart cries - "It surely will be!"
On bended knee I sorrowfully plead
and beg you, "Come back to me!"
