Foresight
by Will  Johnson

The light ahead,
seems to be an illusion,
i've come too far,
to act on initial feelings,
intuition is such a lie,
once faith slips away,
like sand on a windy day.
Hard to press a smile sometimes,
when that sight of happiness
reminds you of what once was,
of what was once in your arms,
unwanted irony,
happens more often these days...
no doors seem to be open anymore,
when eyes are blinded from within...
clarity is a long lost friend,
a left turn and not a right changed my life,
some beauty can be found in that, while it's there,
nothing leaves without question,
even if the answer is already there...
just have to try to keep going,
hit reset, and look around, catch a glimpse,
of that next chance to succeed in finding my heart.
