THU THE YEARS OF MARRIAGE
by MISY WRAY DRAPER

MARRIAGE IS LIKE LOOKING IN EVERY STORE FOR THE PERFECT PAIR OF JEANS,
FINALLY FINDING THEM AND WEARING THEM EVERY DAY.
BUT AS TIME GOES BY THEY HAVE BEEN MISPLACED A TIME OR TWO
PUT IN A DRAWER NOT TO BE SEEN BUT KNOWING THEY ARE THERE.
THEN ONE DAY FINDING AND PUTTING THEM ON AND
REALIZING HOW MUCH YOU MISSED THEM.
WASH AFTER WASH THEY HAVE FADED .
THERE'S A HOLE IN THE KNEE AND A MISSING BUTTON,
BUT THEY ARE COMFORTABLE. PERHAPS A LITTLE TIGHT,
FOR TIME HAS CHANGED ME, TOO.
