As darkness drenches the sunlit sky,
Happiness invades my dreams.
You surround me,
you engulf my soul.
Seeing your face, feeling your warmth,
I Smile.

Closer to your being, I hold my breath,
Awaiting an encounter with your heart.
I pray the black of night would last forever,
And I could hold you near until death consumes me.

As the sun starts to make it's way into the star-painted sky above,
My eyes begin to open,
I struggle and fight.
"Dear Lord, Please let the night remain!"

Heart sinking, Soul beckoning,
The day breaks.
Awakening, they end...

I must wait to dream again.
