Deprived of sleep
by J. A. H.

Late at night, deprived of sleep,
As tears roll down my dampened cheek,
My broken heart already tossed,
A lonely soul, a soul that?s lost.
I hope to someday live again,
I dream this hurt, this pain will end,
I long to one day kiss your lips,
I dream of the day our hearts eclipse.
I tried to forget, I tried to move on,
I sent you my heart in music-less song,
As tears roll down my dampened cheek,
It?s late at night...and I still can?t sleep.
