He Made Me Cry
by Sarah June Hadley

He made me laugh,
He never made me cry,
Until today,
When I discovered a lie.

I thought he cared about me,
As I cared for him,
Until last year,
When he moved away.

Before he moved,
I just wanted to talk.
It was too late,
He was already gone.

On the day he left,
He made me cry.
Even today,
He made me cry.

If I see him,
I shall yell
At the top of my lungs
For what he has done.

He broke my heart,
Threw it in the trash,
For that is where it belongs,
Forever lost in the dark.
