REVISIT
by JOHN R SMITH

I FEEL HER PRESENCE ALL AROUND ME
HER LAUGHTER STILL FLOATING IN THE AIR
FINALLY I COME TO MY SENSES
AND REALIZE SHE ISN'T THERE
SOMETHING SO REAL
THAT I CAN'T TOUCH
SOMETHING SO PAINFUL
BECAUSE I LOVED HER SO MUCH
I CAN'T BELIEVE
SHE HAS FORGOTTEN ABOUT ME
I THOUGHT I WAS SPECIAL
SOMEONE SHE'D WANT TO SEE
BUT THIS IS WHAT SHE WANTED
NOT TO LOVE ME
SO I HAD TO LET GO
AND LET THINGS BE
BUT WHAT I WOULD GIVE
TO ONCE AGAIN SEE HER FACE
TO TOUCH HER SKIN
AND REVISIT THIS PLACE
