Lost Without You
by Brooklynn  Kirkwood

Why is it we never notice
what we have until it's gone?
I thought I would always hold you near,
but you chose to leave and move on.

I thought you would always be by my side,
through good times and through bad.
So why is it, now that you are gone,
I start to realize what I had.

I always thought you knew I cared,
even though I didn't say.
So why am I sitting here alone and regretting
not telling you before this day.

Maybe if I had of said it to you,
you would still be here today.
So I only have one thing left to do,
only one thing left to say.

I want to tell you I love you,
and that this always will be true.
I took you for granted, before this time,
and now I am lost without you.
